The death has occurred of Paul REID
Knocklyon, Dublin / Dublin 2, Dublin

REID, Paul. 12th August, 2017, Knocklyon, D. 16, formerly of Trevor Howard, Duke Lane, D.2. Peacefully after an illness borne with great dignity and courage in the wonderful care of the staff of Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Phil, much loved dad of Georgina (McAllister), Julie-ann, Joanna, Trevor and Philippa. Paul will be sadly missed by his son, daughters, son-in-law John, partners Michelle and David, his grandchildren Scott, Hannah and Eve, sister Joan, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross on Tuesday evening from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm with prayers at 7 pm. Removal from Our Lady’s Hospice on Wednesday morning to St. Colmcille’s Church, Knocklyon arriving for 11 am Requiem Mass. Funeral thereafter to Mt. Venus Cemetery. No flowers please, donations, if desired, to Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross. All enquiries to Massey Bros., Templeogue Village., Ph: 01 4907601.


Update on ease of Government restrictions on funeral services, as of Monday 10th May.

Unfortunately, it is still not possible to have a large funeral as we still navigate the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. We understand how difficult this is for you the families we serve but the safety of everyone is our priority. We must play our part in the strict adherence to these instructions.

Only immediate family and close friends should attend the funeral.

No more than 50 people are permitted to attend the funeral service or be present at the graveside. Numbers allowed in Crematoria vary, your Funeral Arranger will be able to advise on exact numbers.

The numbers who may attend gatherings in our funeral homes is limited at this time. Again, your Funeral Arranger can advise you on the numbers as it depends on the size of the funeral home.

Face masks must be worn when entering our funeral homes. It is also recommended that they are worn in churches and crematoriums. When visiting our funeral homes for your safety, we ask that you provide your contact details for the benefit of track and trace.

Those in attendance will also need to follow social distancing guidelines. This means all funeral attendees must keep a distance of 2 metres apart.

Physical interactions including shaking hands and hugging must be avoided.

Those who are self-isolating or need to restrict their movements can not attend funerals.

Many of our churches have implemented streaming services so that family and friends can view the service from home. Please ask your Funeral arranger for details.
